I knew nothing about the book going in. I told my aunt I was looking for something new to read, and she said "Try this! You'll love it!"

She was right. I started the book off excited, got tired quickly, excited again, and then there were times where I almost closed the book up and said fuck it. I'm really happy I didn't.

The section that hit me the hardest was Pelafina's letters. Reading her words as she deteriorates was soul crushing. Her final letter nearly had me in tears.

I still have a load of unanswered questions, and I hope I've got the brainpower needed to find the answers when I pick the book up again.
