Question about manual chair brakes - "D's Locks" aka "PushLox"
Soo I'm really interested in these for my next chair as the current main 2 options are scissor brakes and the standard "thumb lock" brakes. Both of those are problematic for me as I have EDS and a long history of thumb instability (in March I had my right thumb fused at the MCP joint and will likely have the same with my left thumb once this side is (finally) done healing. Anyway, the 2 main locking systems just don't work well for me for obvious reasons.
I've been looking into "D's Locks" (highly recommended by paralympic wheelchair users for example) but haven't been able to get an actual answer to this question: does the equipment for it make it not possible to remove my wheels (by pressing on the button in the center of the wheel)? I need to be able to remove a wheel to get my chair in my car.
Thanks!
