I was thinking about it, and a character getting or having amnesia is such a commonly used trope but only every once in a while do I find an example of it that’s super interesting or creative. The best ones I can think of are JoJolion and Ace Attorney Investigations 2. Josuke is such a great character and AAI2 is given such good conflict and great character writing as a result.

Edit: Someone in the replies mentioned Fei Fong Wong. Can’t believe I forgot him, Xenogears is a top 5 game of all time for me.
