Isn't it amazing how most people have 0 principles.
Their moral assessments are based exclusively on their own self-interest in the vast majority of situations. Maybe a few special individuals get some value assigned to them beyond instrumental value, but even then that is rare. And ironically even though these people are so greedily self-indulging they are still miserable because, unsurprisingly, when everyone adopts the same domineering apathetic mentality you get a shit reality to live in. And yet, as soon as these people are the victim of any perceived injustice they are outraged even though they have no problem dishing out the oppression without even a single thought given to the consequences anyone else would have to face. They "love" things the same way a slave master loves their slaves, not out of any concern for the individual but of what value they can extract. I think this is really the carnist mentality, gluttony for pleasure at any expense.
Unfortunately I think most people are either too stupid or genetically incapable of ever leaving this state once it is reinforced into them through a life of living in such a diabolical society with horrendous education. And so the wonderful result is that many humans are functionally psychopathic, they adopt their beliefs and never question them and that is that. What I actually cannot comprehend is how people just go on living with such cruelty (both acts they engage in and ones against them) without question even when they know it is bad from their own daily experience of living. It is insane how things could be so much better for nigh all of them if they gave a shit, but they just cannot.
