Results!!
NSLI-Y: >!rejected (looking back I wrote pretty bad essays + was just a bad application in general)!<
Al Neuharth Free Spirit Conference: >!rejected!<
Notre Dame Leadership Seminars: >!accepted (was really happy with this and loved my essays)!<
Coolidge Scholars: >!accepted as senator! (probably the program I wanted the most so I'm happy; poured a lot into the application too)!<
Local paid consulting internship: >!accepted!<
really grateful and blessed that everything worked out the way it did! looking back, my essay writing has improved so much from the purple prose it was in sophomore year and was def a huge part of why i found success this yr. Somewhat bummed abt al neuharth because journalists are the nicest ppl ever, but i'm more than happy with Coolidge and ndls (really didnt expect both)!
if anyone wants help w/ any of these apps, feel free to reach out, and I'll be a resource whenever i have time! also thinking of releasing a guide for creative essay writing that i think helped get me into these programs, so lmk if interested, too (shameless plug)
