Got a new job as a Phlebotomist in a Hospital any advice
Hey y’all very nervous after being hired at a Hospital and feel like it’s a very daunting job. I got my license in November of 2025 and it took me from that time until February of this year to land a job at an office as a MA who is in charge of their Phlebotomy. I’ve been doing really well and about 95% of my patients are an easy stick and if we can’t get the blood we send out to quest. I’m very nervous due to the fact that this hospital is a strict straight stick vein puncture and only gives phlebotomists 10 butterflies a week. Lastly at the clinic I only draw into SST and EDTA tubes and sometimes a Heparin one so any advice needed for this new role will be greatly appreciated!
