Hi everyone, we’re relocating to Melbourne and would love some advice 😊

We’re a family of 5 with three school-aged kids, looking for a creative, community-focused area with a great high street, cafés and shops, somewhere walkable with good public transport. Open to apartment or unit living.

Schools matter to us too, a good public secondary that isn’t overly academic, and either a small Catholic or solid local primary.

We’re not too keen on more suburban or bayside areas, we’re after somewhere with a bit more character. One of us will be working in Hampton East on a flexible hybrid basis.

Any suburb recommendations or experiences would be hugely appreciated!
