I’m not from Minnesota but have been tuning in and watching the rise of Anthony Edwards. Each year I have watched each series and every loss in eastern conference finals.
This year Timberwolves has the depth, length , defense and physicality that would have took them far. Anthony Edwards just needed to perform and get his knee healthy. His jumper looks flat now and he has lost some of his explosiveness and athleticism. He had developed his game the most this year from midrange and knowing how to split double teams and reading blitzes. If he is able to put at least 25 ppg and make clutch shots this team would be deadly because of the bench and great defense. Nuggets were the number offense in the league and I can say they dominated them much better than in 2024.
If they faced the spurs I believe the inexperience of wemby will have a factor, even though it will be a tough matchup. If they faced OKC it would also be tough and and 7 games but if they get past the WCF I think they would favor against any East team in the finals .
It’s unfortunate to see luck play out with injuries as I was looking forward to watching the possible outcomes.
