Im a 17 year old highschool student, and ever since 7th grade, I have been falling asleep in class.
I get these weird sleep attacks, my eyes start shutting, and my writing becomes nothing but scribbles (It is really annoying when writing or drawing something, since the whole page is covered with crossed out words and scribbles), it is REALLY embarrasing, since it makes me sleep for about 3-4 seconds before I snap back awake, and the teacher is staring at me, pissed.
I have tried many things, pinching myself, drinking cold water, sleeping more, sleeping a LOT more, but nothing seems to work!
Im not bored in class, Im interested in learning stuff in school! Thankfully, these sleep attacks rarely occur when im standing or doing P.E, and even then my brain instantly makes me sit down (Then the sleep attacks, 3-4 seconds bla bla, same thing).
No matter how much I sleep, I still feel sleepy, any advice? (Ps.: I do get these sleep attacks at home too, sometimes I don't get them for 2-3 days, sometimes I get 3 in a row, like I snap awake from one, and 2 seconds later im out again, other times im instantly energised and awake afterwards.)
Could it be because im just lazy? 😭
