I have a new 2026 Outback. I plan on paying it off soon (hopefully). I don't plan on selling it. I plan on driving it until it can't drive anymore. I got a little bigger vehicle than I was looking for. I was originally going to go with a Crosstrek. But at least I can say I never need to up size (in my opinion).
Do any of you drive an SUV as a daily driver. Do I seem weird to someday hope this vehicle will be a nice secondary. I always thought that a small eco car would be a good secondary for me, but it's good to have an suv around. I came from a background of driving sedans. I didn't think I was going to like driving an suv everyday but I am very impressed with it. I wanted a vehicle that can do most things. I mainly carry tools, groceries, people, or bigger items that won't normally fit in a car, such as a window ac unit for a large room.
I like that it is great on ice, great in snow, and great in rain. I also like the fact it is a dark green. I like the fact the seats go all the way down, there is plenty of legroom, and it is not a gas guzzler. The only thing I hate is that it may be my last one in my lifetime. I am timid when it comes to auto loans, mostly everyone is, but I hope to drive it for 12-15 years. Then I might go to a Crosstrek, if the Outback is not in my budget at that time.
