I put in about 2 hours in to get the shape where I wanted it. Unfortunately, it did develop some cracks near the handle, but I should be able to grind them out.

I started with a piece of leaf spring, approximately 9"long x 3"wide x1/8" thick. I have put about 4 hours into it so far.
