I had the garage door serviced about a month ago because the rail bolted to the wall pulled off and was completely disconnected. It turns out the installer mounted it straight into drywall. I only moved in 2 years ago. House from the 80s so I don’t have all history here.
Maintenance guy rebolted into the wall (stud this time) and I paid for him to service the rest of it too. He greased the rails and said all the components were in good shape. He adjusted the limits.
Now, I’m watching and seeing this bend to the side which wasn’t happening when he had been out about a month ago. It does have a problem of closing and reopening a lot when there is no obstruction. Not sure if that’s related. It’s not new after the maintenance guy was here.
