I am looking for your best ideas for hobby type items to pack that:

-don’t take up too much space

-will hold up being thrown around in my bag.

-aren’t just a “one and done” type thing

-airport or train friendly

I have a 3 week European trip in May and will have lots of down time in transit. I travel with my Kindle to read, but I am dyslexic, so I like to have something to keep my hands busy when my eyes and brain need a reading break. I am an avid crocheter, but my favorite things to crochet are blankets, so any small projects I have taken with me in the past get left in the bag because I get sick of them.
