once mosquitoes show up, i feel like half of camping becomes trying to enjoy being outside while also slowly losing my mind. i’ve been looking at those mosquito repellent lanterns because they seem like a nice two-in-one thing in theory, but i can’t tell if they actually help at camp or if they’re more of a “looked smart online, didn’t do much in real life” kind of purchase. i don’t need anything fancy, mostly just something that makes hanging out, cooking, or sitting around after dark a little less miserable without becoming one more annoying thing to pack
if you’ve actually used one while camping, did it end up being worth bringing? or did you find a different setup worked better for keeping mosquitoes under control around camp?
