Hi everyone, I need some honest opinions because this situation feels really off.
I was trying to buy Metallica tickets from a girl online. We agreed to do the payment via Revolut, and she said she would transfer the tickets (supposedly through Ticketmaster).
The deal was:
I send €100 first
she sends me one ticket
then I send the rest
I sent the €100 via Revolut, and that’s when things started getting weird.
She suddenly said she couldn’t transfer the tickets through Ticketmaster anymore and had to send them via email instead. Then she sent me a strange email asking me to “confirm identity,” saying a code would be sent to her phone number.
After that, she told me she couldn’t send me the code unless I paid another €50, because she supposedly has to pay €50 for each code in order to receive it and complete the transfer.
That made zero sense to me, so I stopped and didn’t send anything else.
Now it really feels like:
the tickets never existed
and this was just a way to get more money out of me
Has anyone experienced something like this?
Is this a known scam method?
Also, I genuinely still want to buy tickets — does anyone have advice on how to do it safely and legitimately without getting scammed again?
