The chick sitting down is Josephine, she is not doing so hot. She spends most of her time sitting, she will get up to eat and drink but other than that she sits. She will do this half stand occasionally, as pictured in the second photo. She also is sort of hobbling about when she does walk. Pooping normally. She does not seem to be gaining weight. Feet and legs are straight.
The temps are spot on for 3 week olds. The other chicks are all healthy with no concerning issues. Bedding (pine) is changed every three days. Water and food dishes are cleaned and changed twice a day. Ive given multiple days of electrolytes, and one “dose” of B-12.
I am thinking that this is a vitamin deficiency, more than just B-12. Debating between Nutri-Drench or Rooster Booster. Any suggestions?
Should I separate her in a hospital brooder as well?
Hoping she pulls through.
