SaaS sales software gets messy once automation stacks up

at first all the automation actually felt helpful. then more workflows got added. then someone needed exceptions for enterprise deals and then another manager wanted different rules for inbound leads. now people barely know why deals move stages anymore because half the pipeline updates itself in the background. somebody asked why an opportunity skipped discovery last week and the answer was literally probably one of the workflows

the funny thing is the dashboards look cleaner than ever and feels like every SaaS company hits a point where the automation starts managing the team instead of helping it, right?
