Finding a 911 job as an EMT-B no fire, illinois!!
Hey so im in the chicago/chicagoland area. I have been trying to find a 911 emt position and the only company at the moment I could find currently hiring is Buds. I applied for buds, did an in person interview, they took all my info including SS, ID, IDPH card, driving abstract, made me retest into region 7 (which i passed) , same with a breathalyzer and a drug test i had passed as well. they have ghosted me after telling me that I am hired. i reached out so many times thru email and phone but they are hanging up on me when they ask for my name.
I have experience working IFT for a couple months and want to step my foot into 911. I don’t know if i should try for my BOF or medic licensee right now but I have been applying anyways. I am just wondering if there are any other 911 emt jobs in the area. I run about 5 calls per shift at my company at the moment and depending on who dispatch is that night, I’ll usually get a good amount of emergency calls, code 1 & 3. Im so lost right now and i just want to work at a department where we run majority emergency, no clue where to apply.
