I’ve been working on the official Android version of Remodex, a mobile companion app for controlling Codex sessions from an Android phone.
The idea is simple: Codex keeps running on your desktop, while the phone acts as a remote interface for checking sessions, sending prompts, and managing work when you’re away from the machine.
The Android version is built natively in Kotlin and is currently in beta. Code is Open Source.
I’m mainly looking for feedback from people who already use Codex:
- Does a mobile companion workflow make sense for your setup?
- What would you expect to control from mobile?
- Would you prefer local-only pairing, remote relay, or both?
- What would make this trustworthy enough to use with real coding sessions?

This is not meant to replace Codex. It’s a companion layer for remote session control.
Feedback is welcome, especially around security, setup friction, and what the mobile UI should expose.
