I’ve been working in Qatar for about a year now and I’m planning to buy my first car, the Soueast S06. I know it’s a Chinese brand and there’s still some stigma around reliability and aftersales, but given my budget and preference, I’m leaning towards buying brand new instead of second-hand. I’d rather avoid the uncertainty of previous ownership, maintenance history, and lack of warranty.
One thing I noticed is that the car doesn’t come with insurance, so I’ll need to arrange it separately. Since this is my first time buying a car, I’d really appreciate advice on:
- What should I look out for when choosing car insurance in Qatar?
- Any recommended insurance companies that offer good coverage/value?
- Is comprehensive insurance worth it for a new car like this?
I’m also considering getting PPF (paint protection film), especially since it’s a new car and I want to maintain its condition.
- Any recommendations for reliable PPF shops in Qatar?
- What’s a reasonable price range for good quality PPF?
- Is full-body PPF worth it, or just partial (front, hood, etc.)?
Would really appreciate any tips, especially from those who’ve gone through a similar experience or own a Soueast/Chinese brand car here.
