With so many great deals on used 2026s (some going in the mid to late 20s with under 10k miles), I am having a bit of buyers remorse / regret having recently purchased a 2024.

The 2024 fits my needs and I know that's what matters most but there is just a plethora of reviews saying the 2026 is just light-years improved from the first gen. Friends tell me the same thing saying I could have waited a bit , paid 5-7k extra for a 2026. So a bit regretful but dealing with it.

Is the 2026 a true next generation BZ that gets closer to Model Y territory? Are we potentially going to see solid state batteries and 400 miles plus range from Toyota in 2027 or 2028? Seems EV tech moves so much faster than ICE or Hybrid tech.

Has anyone used PPF or ceramic coating on the most vulnerable areas like front bumper and hood? How much did it cost and has it been effective? Any PPF brand that you would recommend? Don't want to spend a fortune but last car was a Lexus RX with the softer pearl paint that got absolutely ruined by rock chips. Any tips and suggestions welcome.

Any recommendations on the type and length of usb cable you used to connect phone for Android Auto or Apple car play? Assuming a short USB 3.0 high speed type A to C cable should work? Another question: if you have a wire connected in the center console where do you put your phone, if you place it in the charging compartment will it start QI charging even with a wired connection?

Ps: i know i can connect wirelessly but phone gets very hot and connection quality is a hit or miss and not consistent.

Great price on the original Toyota VSA contract for my FWD BZ4x. I saved about 1500 over what the local stealership wanted and later when i went back to them to see if they would match, they said Troy's price was too low to match. Awesome guy and very responsive. Thanks to everyone here and on other Toyota sites for recommending him and Jerry. Both were charging me the same low price for the 125k 10 years platinum coverage.

Why the warranty? I have owned multiple Toyota and Lexus vehicles over my life. I track expenses on a spreadsheet. Even though these are super reliable machines, I have ended up spending on some major repairs typically in years 7-9 of ownership. Also my personal experience has been that having a Toyota backed warranty is helpful for vehicle resale and a buyer like myself would be drawn to a car which still has warranty remaining on it. Just for trivia my Camry and Prius were pretty bulletproof however the Lexus RX and LS did need a lot of repairs as they aged.

I am hopeful that i can drive this awesome BZ4x for many years to come and hopefully hand it down to my son in a few years.

I couldn't find much owner data on acceleration for the gen 1 FWD models. I have a 2024 and it feels pretty quick. Based on some reviews these do 0-60 mph in 7.9-8.1 seconds? Feels much faster... Prior had a lexus RX sport and this BZ seems quicker. Anyone timed it?

OEM Bridgestones are nearly gone at 20k miles. Considering Costco tires, Michelins are on sale. Any experience with the Defenders or Crossclimate 2s? I know there will be some range loss due to worse rolling resistance than OEM but I prefer a quieter, more comfortable, less harsh ride. Any other tire suggestions are also welcome.

I am liking my 2024 BZ4X. It's my first electric car and we've been a Toyota/Lexus household. We were not in favor of getting a Tesla and not a big fan of Hyundai/ KIA quality. I like that this is a Toyota and I can trust the hardware and overall quality.

However I am feeling that even having paid half of what the car retailed for, the resale value will plummet at an insane rate.

I will likely keep the car for at least 8 years.. the speed at which tech on EVs is changing is crazy, considering that Gen 1 BZs from only 2 years ago are already semi redundant and outdated. Will the falling prices stabilize at some point or can we expect these to go for 5-10k USD in a couple years or sooner? Teslas and Hyundai seem to hit a price floor quickly and then stabilize but don't know what pattern the BZ will follow. Thoughts?
