Hey yall just wanting some general advice. Clearly we live in a country where we have a lot of fat people, I am one of them lol. However I have been going to the gym semi regularly for a few weeks usually about 1-3 times a week for about an hour at a time. I’m losing weight which is nice I’m 22(M) and I began my weight loss at 348lbs. I’m 5’9” so clearly I had some issues however in 5 weeks im down 15lbs, as well as going to the gym I’ve been calorie counting with an app, trying to make sure my protein is at minimum 30% of my diet on a daily basis and 45% on the days I go to the gym. I haven’t religiously worked out sense HS so I’m out of practice, I’m building muscle which is awesome, however my goal is to be around 260-70. If I’m still chubby that’s ok with me it’s just a feeling thing, I want to be able to fit in chairs and not stand out when I walk in public yk what I mean. However as I have been losing weight my skin is getting looser and hanging off my arms and legs more. It’s making wearing clothes, walking and even sleeping uncomfortable, my question is, this is obviously going to keep happening and something I’m going to have to live with but should I be concerned with a essentially tummy tuck or surgery to remove the excess skin. I used to ride horses, throw for track, and generally be in good shape but even then I was 250ish. I’m trying to lose almost 80lbs, no set date but if any of the experts or people who have also felt the same way can weigh in I would greatly appreciate it.
