Hey everyone,

I’m a solo developer and I’ve been working on something in my spare time: Euler Node + Euler Chat.

Euler Node is not just a server.

It bundles Ollama under the hood, but also gives you a GUI to manage everything.

The first time you run it, a wizard helps you set things up (no terminal, no Docker, no config files).

You can choose two modes: Normal (for home users) or Advanced (for power users).

A built‑in database handles user accounts, conversation history, and sync across devices.

A benchmark for helping standard users to choose models

You can download, delete, and configure models directly from the UI.

Euler Chat is the native Flutter client (iOS, Android, Windows, macOS, Linux).

It connects to Euler Node and does streaming responses, markdown, code highlighting, etc.

Everything is open source (MIT). I built this because I wanted to introduce myself to flutter, but creating something useful.

The core works: chat, models, accounts, basic sync.

Next steps: HTTPS, bidirectional sync, a remote‑access tunnelling... Check github for every becoming change.

Local AI has become genuinely powerful. Setting it up still feels like a project — terminals, config files, IP addresses, and a lot of assumed technical knowledge. Euler Chat is an attempt to close that gap.

The goal is simple: anyone on your network should be able to open an app, find the node, and start talking to AI models running on your own hardware — without knowing anything about what's running behind it. Private, fast, yours.

Two pieces. One system.

Euler Node is a full desktop application, not just a server. Install it, walk through a two-minute setup, give your node a name and a password — and it's immediately discoverable by any client on the same network. It handles inference, user accounts, chat history, and model management.

It has two modes:

• Standard — benchmarks your hardware automatically and picks the right models for you. No weird names, no quantization settings, no terminal.
• Advanced — full control over networking, your Ollama instance, and every model available.

Euler Chat is a Flutter client for Android and Linux (more platforms coming) that discovers nodes on your LAN automatically, authenticates, and lets you chat with any model installed on the node.

Where it is today

This is fresh out of its first alpha. The core loop is fully functional and used daily — but it is still early software. Expect rough edges and breaking changes as it matures.

What works right now:

• Automatic LAN node discovery — open the app and your node appears
• Local AI inference via Ollama — every model you have pulled is available
• Streaming chat with markdown and code highlighting
• User authentication with signed requests
• Local chat history synced from the node
• Model management from the client — install, delete, set a default
• Native multiplatform client built with Flutter — Android and Linux today, more coming
