Given the way that the japanese dub/english sub and english dub of Sonic X have played out story-wise, what would be the most realistic way for the hyper form to be introduced and utilized, when would be the most realistic time for this to take place, and what would be the most realistic short-term and long-term effects and consequences of this as far as the overall plot, world-building, and storytelling are concerned? Oh, and if it wasn't already clear, the hyper form will be used by Sonic and Shadow.

As we all know, unlike everyone else, Issei had to undergo extremely intensive training just to make up for his sheer lack of innate talent in LITERALLY everything pertaining to the supernatural. However, even though he definitely did a lot of his training in his base form, he fought most of his battles using his Sacred Gear and all the various forms that came with it. While it is impressive that he's managed to get his base form to the level of a high-class devil, I feel like it could have gone further.

So here's a scenario I'm suggesting: during his training under Tannin IN the underworld, Sairaorg also decided to join in as an additional mentor/instructor. This means....

1. Issei's training is being overseen and carried out by TWO monstrously strong beings and....

2. Issei's training regiment is a combination of the original canon version, as well as Sairaorg's physical training regiment.

This means that Issei's training regiment-while still being the same as in canon-is as punishing as that of Sairaorg, and that Issei starts learning how to fight better WITHOUT overly relying on any power-boosting has. Kind of like Koneko and Sairaorg.

If even on the absolute tiniest 0.00000000000000001% chance that both Azazel and Rias did decide that Issei's training should go like this.....

1. how would it impact ALL of Issei's battles: from Kuroka ALL the way to Angra Mayniu,....

2. how would it impact Issei himself: his character arc, his relationships, as well as his arsenal and perversion which both remain COMPLETELY unchanged, and....

3. what are ALL the short-term and long-term affects, effects, impacts, and consequences that this could end up having on the rest of the entire overall plot and worldbuilding and storytelling?

Now, as I'm sure you're all aware, one of the main things that keeps the audience glued to High School DxD is all the extremely alluring fan service, especially in the anime, much like in many other ecchi anime. The best thing about it is that it naturally integrates with the flow of the storytelling and world-building and NEVER interferes because it only pops up at certain instances. To make it even better, it actually serves an in-universe purpose, especially as a reliable source of power for the main protagonist, Issei Hyoudou. Of course, all the ecchi fanservice has even features moments where it would have escalated into actual straight-up sex, much like in the much later points of "Shinmai Maou no Keiyakusha"/"Testament of Sisiter New Devil". However, this never truly happened because the publisher that Ichiei Ishibumi-the creator of High School DxD-was working with would not permit him to produce ANY R18 hentai/sexual content to be published.

Today, we're going to talk about ALL the possible ways the story would have played out if this barrier did not exist by using the following-along with ALL the comments in the comments section.....

1. Basically, a combination of BOTH storytelling directions. What would be the most realistic way for this to happen, and what impact would it have on ALL character arcs, and the overall plot of "High School DxD"?

This secret, of course, will remain as such for 6+ months until that Rating Game against Sairaorg, in which Issei will end up announcing his relationship with Rias to everybody, like he does in canon. Speaking of 6+ months, it will be more than enough time for the relationship between Issei and Rias to flourish, as well as for Issei himself to completely heal from his past trauma. At which point, Issei will be much more confident and sure of himself due to the trauma having pretty much lost its influence on him, and his master-servant dynamic with Rias becomes a mere formality. This also means that Akeno, Asia, Koneko, Irina, Xenovia, Rossweisse, and Ravel will all have a chance with him and become his harem.

Here's how I envision this scenario playing out=> First off, everything from the very beginning to the very start of Volume 5 will go exactly the same as the original canon due to Issei's trauma still being in effect. Events will also be a light novel, manga, and anime, which means that the Rating Game between Rias's Peerage and Sona's Peerage actually happens. The fight against Loki also happens like in canon, but here, it will be a combination of the way it went down both in the light novel and anime. Meaning that while it will play out like it did in the light novel, it will include the whole "Loki's curse" thing from the anime. In that moment between Issei and Akeno, after meeting Baraqiel for the first time, the raven-haired Priestess of Thunder is able to unknowingly see into Issei's heart and soul, because of the effect of Boobylingual. Which is what enables her to see that he's still hurting over Raynare's vindictive, spiteful, and scornful deception, mockery, betrayal, and rejection of him, which clears up a few things for her. As for the whole "Juggernaut Drive" incident, that too will be a combination of the light novel and anime. In the sense that, in addition to playing out like in the anime, it will also include the usage of the Oppai Dragon Song. It will even include Issei unwittingly using Boobylingual again, but this time on Rias. As a direct result of this, Rias is able to sense that something within Issei's very soul is tormenting him. Upon returning to the human world to heal him up, Rias works with Asia to help heal him up, and the two are able to sense, detect, and discern the thing tormenting Issei: Raynare, and his trauma over her betrayal, which explains a whole lot for them. Immediately after seeing this revelation, Rias and Asia inform everyone else about it, which would be a tremendous shock to the whole group. Unfortunately, the whole thing with Loki abducting and brainwashing Rias plays out like it did in the anime. Straight afterwards, everything is explained to Rias, who was brainwashed, and Issei's trauma is immediately addressed, as illustrated in the above post "What if the Raynare trauma started getting addressed sooner?". Here, Rias explodes and snaps at Issei not only for never calling her by name and constantly calling her "President", but also for being far too wrapped up in his doubts and fears to see how his trauma is affecting her and everyone else, which results in Issei FINALLY opening his eyes to the truth of Rias's side of things. It's a therapy session that eventually becomes a group session. As a result, Issei is able to finally start calling Rias by her name, and the two begin dating. From Volume 9 going forward, one of the main points of focus is Issei progressing in his newly formed boyfriend-girlfriend relationship with Rias, as well as addressing the damage done to Issei by his trauma. The latter of which is able to culminate in that epic conclusion of Volume 10/Season 4 of the anime. After Issei's miraculous bounce-back from Samael's curse, he and Rias indulge in sex with each other to celebrate. Soon enough, the other girls also end up having sex with Issei: both individually and as groups.

Here are my interpretations of the two timelines, and how I think they'd play out if either one of them did happen in canon. What do you guys think? 4. "Issei Hyoudou's true mantra" [[Highschool DxD - Red Dragon's Heart (Issei's Song)

For those of you here who are unaware, the above video was made on a YouTube channel called Mianbao. It makes sonds very specific to our favourite anime characters, in regards to their personality and character arc.

The above linked song is a perfect example. This incredible song which really brings out, captures, and perfectly illustrates Issei's determined, resilient, and outright passionate mindset with an unshakable resolve to boot.

One issue is made clear here: people look at Issei's immense open perversion and large breast fetish and assume he's just that and nothing else, when actually, that isn't the case at all. In fact, there's much more to him than that. Underneath that shamelessly perverted exterior is a man with bottomless love, kindness, empathy, compassion, and mercy for the people he loves and cares about the most, which is one of the forces that drives him to go through hell and unimaginable pain, suffering, and inconvenience to protect them. Something we see over and over again. Even Azazel has stated that out of all the members of Rias's Peerage, Issei is beyond all doubt the most compassionate.

All of the above is exactly why Rias and all the women in her Peerage, and Irina, Ravel, Kuroka, Le Fey, Ingvild, and even Roygun have fallen in love with him.

There's also the fact that he has a very friendly nature, and can easily become friends with pretty much anyone. Which is why he was able to befriend guys like Vali and Saji, and even Sona and Seekveria.] using this=>[Issei Hyoudou's true mantra],....

5. "High School DxD is MUCH more than just fan service" [THIS POST IS IN HOMAGE TO THIS MOST RECENTLY RELEASED VIDEO=>[Why High School DxD Is More Than Just Fan Service

As the above video has made very clear, High School DxD has so much more to offer than just its fan service. Yes, it may tick all the well-known boxes of all ecchi harem animes, but at the same time, it breaks away from that usual formula described in the timestamp 0:35-0:37 via its phenomenal world-building and complex, yet compelling, and relatable character arcs, which both culminate into an incredible plot and fantastic storytelling. This is especially true with Issei's character arc, as explained here=>[Issei Hyoudou's true mantra].

The issue is that many fans end up missing this because they fixate far too much on the ecchi fan service.

Speaking of Issei's character arc, the above video briefly delves into his trauma over Raynare at the timestamp 1:22-1:40. However, the issue is that the series belittles it/treats it like it doesn't matter by putting it on the back burner until Volume 10. And even then, it's only ever talked about once. In fact, considering the impact Raynare had on Issei, addressing the trauma and fear of women he ended up developing because of her should have been one of the very first, if not THE very first aspect to take center stage in Issei's character development. 7. "Issei Hyoudou as a character" [The following is my personal hot take on the way Issei is portrayed as a character, based on everything I've managed to learn about him from the series.

While it's unquestionably true that Issei has his many, many flaws and shortcomings as a person, there are times when you really can't help thinking that some of the fan base might be a bit too harsh and judgmental towards him for it. As you know, Issei didn't have the best first impression when the High School DxD Light Novel first got released to the public. He was introduced as a dense, clueless, oblivious, and simple-minded teenager who constantly spent most of[in many cases ALL OF]his time delving into perversion, especially women's breasts and developing a huge fetish for them, shamelessly being open and vocal about it all and his desire for a harem, and not doing ANYTHING productive with his life most of the time: all of which culminated in having a very terrible reputation at school among the entire student body of Kuou Academy, including the girls, who developed a very strong dislike towards him because of it. Of course, there are a few exceptions to this, but in general, pretty much everyone in school disliked him, along with Matsuda and Motohama, because of all of the above. So naturally, he had ABSOLUTELY ZERO good popularity amongst the girls in school, to the point of frequently getting beaten up by the kendo club because of it. And all of the above is on top of the fact that at the very start of the story, Issei's never once bothered trying to properly educate himself on women: particularly the way they perceive, comprehend, and interpret things, the way they go about things and operate in life, and the right way to talk to and treat them. Alongside having never put any thought into how his perversion would cause other people to see him and what opinion it would make them have of him, DEFINITELY NOT THE VERY BEST FIRST IMPRESSION EVER MADE!!!!!

That's why when Raynare showed up and asked him out, he suspected ABSOLUTELY nothing and said yes on the spot without a second thought because he finally thought he had gotten ahead and was on the verge of making his big, pervy harem dream a reality. He wanted to believe in this relationship so badly that he never even caught on to the falsehood that it was until it was too late. She fatally stabbed him in the gut with a spear of light and left him for dead. And on top of that, she ruthlessly laughed at and made fun of him, single-handedly destroying every last shred of confidence he had in himself.

While it's revealed that Issei's perversion was largely influenced by his grandfather and a nameless old man he encountered at a park, additional reasons for Issei constantly indulging in anything perverted are still unknown.

With all of that being said, it's also shown on numerous occasions throughout the story that there's more to him than just his perversion. In fact, underneath that unimpressive and abnormally perverted exterior, he's courageous, selfless, and unwaveringly determined to protect those who are important to him, despite almost dying at the hands of his opponents. In the words of Koneko, despite having started out as the absolute weakest and least powerful Red Dragon Emperor in all of history, he's the kindest among them because, unlike his predecessors, he's not power-hungry. Something which can be spotted in him being the only one who did not succumb to the Boosted Gear's curse, not having been consumed by the hatred, the thirst for power, and destruction that consumed all those who came before him. As a result of his kind and selfless nature,  Issei is also very caring, "putting his nose into other people's business", which is the reason he helped Kiba, Koneko, and Akeno overcome their fears and hatred of their difficult pasts. Because of this, he gained strong friendships with his comrades and affection from most girls of the Occult Research Club. Another sign of Issei's unexpectedly kind and selfless nature is that in spite of his shamelessly open perversion and wanting to lose his virginity, he ABSOLUTELY refuses to take advantage of women when they are upset, even if they are willing to. This is particularly displayed in the instance when Akeno appeared in front of him naked and wanted to have sex to forget about her sad past and her father. However, Issei refused, knowing it would just hurt her more, and put her clothes back on and hugged her to comfort her. This demonstrates his decency and his ability to prioritize the needs of others before his own. This scene, as well as others before and after it, also shows that even though he's seriously lacking in the prudence department, he's at least able to notice when something's bothering those he cares about.

While that perversion would be a major turn-off for most people, especially girls, another truth of this matter is that the guy's got an innocent side to him: a boy who yearns for love and a true relationship. A side that can only be noticed, percieved, and understood by women who are willing and able to look beyond the clueless, dense, oblivious, and down-right simple-minded perverted idiot everybody else sees on his exterior and see the real, true Issei Hyoudou on the inside and love him for it and who he, in turn, has affections for. This side is most prominently recognized by the girls of the Occult Research Club, for instance, on his date with Akeno, or when Rias takes him out on dates. This side can also be seen by guys who are willing and able to look beyond his perversion and see his actual personality.

And as a very big plus, he's immensely diligent and hardworking[possibly more so than everybody else] which is displayed in the immense effort he put into his training and jobs as a Devil to make up for his complete lack of talent in the supernatural side of things to make his dream of becoming a Harem King a reality. And I specifically say "supernatural" because one of the things I strongly feel goes unnoticed is that Issei simply wasn't lucky enough to be born with any remarkable prodigious talents that DIRECTLY pertained to the supernatural, unlike everybody else.
