I received a job offer for a position I was reached out to about from a recruiter. It’s a promotion for sure and pays $18k a year but I don’t think I’m going to take it because I’m unsure about the work-life balance and my current role is remote whereas the new role is in-office an hour and a half away once a week. Not terrible but not sure it’s worth it.
I work for an ad agency so I’m acknowledging that I have great work/life balance considering the field I’m in. We have a night and weekend team so I don’t work crazy hours which I’m worried about with the new job.
Could use some advice on that, but also could use advice about what to do if I don’t take it. I’ve been up for a promotion for a little bit now, but in order for me to be promoted a position has to open up and one hasn’t opened up yet. I would eventually like to chat with my big boss just to show my interest and see where my career progression stands.
