I think the writers are aware

I binged both seasons of Gen V right before S5 released, and I’m heartbroken. We got told Gen V was important for the plot. Then it got cancelled. Now The boys, shows final season got sacrificed for Vought Rising. Having Marie and Jordan show up for a 30-second cameo in Ep 7 just to be told by Annie, "You can't control your powers" was such a waste of time. Season 2 literally showed her training and even bringing someone back to life???????

It makes me think the writers are actually aware and venting. There were 2 scenes that made it very clear to me.

  • The Worm scene: He mentioned the difficulty of wrapping up years of complex storytelling and servicing multiple characters in a satisfying way.
  • Cancelled anti-Starlight show scene: An actor complains about American eagle show being cancelled. How it was vought+ number 4 show. In that same scene, the actor asks for a finale that "isn't a dogpile," and the Director says the call comes from "above"

It feels like the writers are telling us that Amazon made the call to kill Gen V and they’re just trying to finish the story asap so they can move on to the next money-maker.

Just my thoughts.
