Would anyone with an unusual job be open to a short Q&A about your day-to-day? (anonymous OK)

I’m working on a small series of day-in-the-life profiles about unexpected jobs. I’m not looking for personal info or anything confidential—just the routine, the reality, and what people misunderstand.

If you’re open to it, comment or DM:

  • Job title
  • General location/remote
  • One misconception about the job

If it’s a fit, I’ll follow up with a short list of questions. Anonymous is always an option.

People who made a non-traditional career move: what job did you land in (and what’s the day-to-day like)?

I’m collecting stories about non-traditional work and sideways career paths—especially jobs you don’t necessarily go to school for.

If you’ve made a career change into something unexpected, I’d love to hear:

  • What you do now
  • How you got into it (the real path)
  • What your day-to-day looks like
  • What you wish you’d known before switching

Comment or DM.

P.S. I'm happy to keep details vague/anonymous.

What’s a job you’ve had that sounds fake until you explain it?

I’m collecting stories about “wait… that’s a job?” work. The roles people don’t realize exist, or jobs that don’t have a straightforward path.

If you’re comfortable sharing, I’d love to hear:

  • What you call the job (in your words)
  • What a normal day actually looks like (a few bullets is fine)
  • One thing people always get wrong about it

If you’d rather not comment publicly, feel free to DM me. Anonymous is totally fine.
