Maui Mango is Here! 🥭 🏝️

Maui Mango is Here! 🥭 🏝️

First impression: Smells exactly like a freshly cut mango both in the air and on the skin. The oil has a more intensely ripe quality compared to the spray. You get the vanilla base after several minutes, but it is not like a mango version of Cream de Clementine.

I have been so excited for this release because I specifically wanted to see how the mist would play with Brown Girl Jane Carnivale, which I plan to try out this weekend. I can see this layering well with coconut, vanilla, and citrus scents as well.

Looking forward to hearing thoughts of others!

Appreciate Ulta having the courtesy to release Nest Maui Mango today, which was the sole reason for the extra spend. Ratuken is still 15% and fingers crossed I get the cashback since I used the diamond day coupon. To my embarrassment, this purchase also puts me into Diamond for 2027 which I was hoping not to make until my June hair appointment.

After an April focused on clean, fresh, skin scents, I’m ready for some in-your-face florals.

Commodity Milk Orchid: a blind buy when released that was purely based on my love of original Milk and that I really like the flanker of flower bomb orchid so I figured orchid was my thing. It was initially a letdown that grew on me over a couple of months and now I prefer it to Milk. This one will get a lot of wear during work trips this month.

Chanel Gardenia EDT: I discovered this in May 1998 and it was one of if not my first grown-up perfume purchases. The EDT was a limited release that came back around in the early 2000s but has not been seen since. This is my last bottle. Pretty much none of the things I wore in my 20s are still around in my rotation, so I’m calling this a generational agnostic floral either because it is, or because I said so.

7 Virtues Candied Lychee: I blind bought this last year before a Caribbean vacation in a travel size, and I knew pretty quickly it was full bottle worthy.  Turns out after getting my nose on a lot of lychee perfumes that this is my no-contest favorite.Body shop used to have a lychee lip balm that smells just like this, and I probably went through more tubes of that than any other lip balm until they discontinued it. This is one of the few fragrances in my collection that hubs likes enough to complement which makes it perfect for our anniversary month.

Marc Jacobs Daisy Wild: Banana as a scent was never on my radar, but once I got this (another blind buy) I wanted a banana for all seasons. I originally wore this for a winter trip to Florida and have been waiting for Spring to spring to wear it again.
