Does your place of work require cameras on for meetings?
My workplace is a cameras off culture and I love that. I didn't know that going in, but I'm so thankful and I wouldn't want it any other way. We have so many meetings each day.
Some VP said they would like us to have cameras on if possible so it's not like you're talking to yourself. But that was 10 months ago and nothing has changed lol. In my opinion just treat it like you're on a phone call. You don't need to see me lol.
Very very few individuals actually have their camera on, usually only in meetings with a lot of people.
I can be in my pajamas, hair a mess and not have to worry about it. My week averages 20-30 meetings and I'll see someone's face maybe once a week.
How common is it to have a cameras off culture? Did I get super lucky?
