Hey all,

Traveling to the South Island in late September to do a road trip through Te Anau, Wanaka, Twizel, Aoraki, Lake Tekapo.

I’m seeing that these roads, specifically the higher altitude ones will require chains or might be closed at these times due to bad weather.

Would it be safe to go at this time, or should we push it back to November/Early December?
