Hi, new beardie owner I’ve done a lot of reasearch but would life some more advice on the below questions. For context I’ve had my3 month old baby for 4 days. It spent 2 days in a small enclosure and 2 days in its 120x60x60 enclosure that has heat lamp 12% uvb basking rock ect.

  1. Feeding veggies

She’s eaten about 6-12 dubia roaches a day. But won’t touch veggies. I’ve tried a mix of lettuce and carrots and another day spinach and rocket. I’m in Australia so i haven’t been able to find collard greens and mustard greens.

  1. My enclosure is in the loungeroom there is no other space but it does sit on a wall facing floor to ceiling windows looking out to the ocean. Her tank is about 5m away from the windows. I see her glass surfing every now and then on the hot side and then she goes back to her rock. I get her out when I see her doing it and she jumps straight onto me and finds the fastest way to the balcony window and glass surfs that. Could she be stressed so I need to move it facing a different way? Or is outside way more interesting due to natural sunlight?

  2. Water

Everyday she sits on my hand and I’ve been drip feeding water onto her nose and she licks it. I’m not sure what else to do as she won’t eat veggies for water. Am I allowed to put a shallow bowl of water?

  1. Cold side

I haven’t seen her sit on the cold side of the tank at all since I got her the temp is 26 degrees and hot side 30 with basking spot 38-40x

  1. Last one! Handling

There’s a lot of people saying don’t handle for a few days when you get them and a lot saying they handled everyday since they got. Tbh I’ve been handling her everyday mostly due to having to move her from enclosures and worried when she’s glass surfing she also just jumped onto me when I opened the glass. She doesn’t seem stressed no black lines or marks or flaring or biting ? She doesn’t seem stressed try run off me onto the floor a lot. I’m gonna try maybe not handle her tomorrow even if she does glass surf? But also want her to be one of those super comfortable cuddly dragons.

Thank you much appreciated
