I’ve had my snake plant for about 4 years and I’m a little worried about it. It originally started as around 5 leaves in a much smaller pot and had gotten pretty root bound. In mid 2025 it actually flowered, and it’s also grown new stalks since then, so I thought it was doing really well.

Before I even repotted it, I noticed the leaves were starting to look more spread out and some were curling/leaning instead of staying compact like they used to. That’s part of why I decided to repot. Yesterday I repotted it and (probably impulsively) loosened up the roots before putting it in a bigger pot. Now it still looks off and I’m worried I made it worse. It used to be in direct light for months but I’ve now moved it to bright indirect light. I water about once a week. My old pot didn’t have drainage, but this new bigger one does. I repotted using Miracle-Gro indoor potting soil.

I’m used to peace lilies that clearly tell you when something’s wrong, but this plant is confusing me and I can’t tell if this is just normal (like being root bound before and repot shock) or if I actually messed something up.

Will it recover from this? Is this normal, and is there anything I should or shouldn’t be doing right now?
