I’ve been following many timeline posts here trying to see how long to expect to wait for my daughter’s passport.

She is 17 applying for 1st adult passport after many child passports

Applied at local library 4/2

In process @ Sterling VA 4/7

Request for new check 4/27

I’m not sure what happened, when we applied we requested regular processing but priority return mail. They are requesting a new check for just the processing fee not the return mailing fee.

I applied a week later with the same request at the same library, my application went to Chicago though and they cashed my check for the processing and priority mail right away.

Hopefully this will get her application back on track even without priority return mailing.
