Hey All
I have just completed titrating off Requip after being on it for about six years. That was fun. Anyways, my question, about 2-3 years ago I started getting these Tourette’s like jerks/ outbursts (think like blurting out gibberish, not curse words) in the evening. Usually around the time I would take the Requip. When I was on the Requip I would have to take a pill around 5-6p to hopefully avoid these, and then take the rest of my prescribed dose around 9-10p. Eventually, this strategy wouldn’t work and that’s how the decision to titrate off was made. I started taking Tramadol while titrating off, and honestly it’s hit or miss whether it helps.
Some nights, I’ll come home from work make dinner and do house stuff and then when ai settle down to relax, the jerks and yips start immediately. I have to constantly shake my feet, and every now and then my head and arms will jerk/spasm and I’ll blurt out gibberish.
Shot in the dark, anybody else have experience with this or familiar with it? Is it linked to the lovely side effects of Requip and it’s just a matter of fully getting my brain chems back to baseline or is this just my reality?
