MXR Stereo Chorus
I picked up this MXR Stereo Chorus over the weekend. I’m not normally a chorus user but I wanted something to make my cleans sound more expensive. The bass and treble knobs on the left side are really cool. When boosted they compress the signal (I don’t use a compressor) so you get that compressed chorus clean sound out of one pedal. It doesn’t sound great with the fuzz or overdrive on and the treble boosted like that. And I didn’t try the chorus at the beginning of the chain. The amp I was using doesn’t have an effects loop. Maybe it would sound better with distortion/fuzz with the chorus in the loop. It sounds good with distortion when the bass and treble are neutral or cut. Overall I like the pedal. Better chorus than the EHX Good Vibes. That’s the only other chorus I have and I bought it for the vibrato anyway.
