Not sure where to share this so figured this thread would be good. I’m currently on holiday and on book three of the Mistborn series. My dad is not very well atm and we’ve been dealing with over half a year of waiting, diagnoses, disappointment and probably all the emotions you can think.
I’m on holiday as a little breather before going to back to fully support whatever happens next but while on holiday my brain thinks of him and I’m almost trying to store the peace and calm of my holiday moments to hold with me and tap into over the next few months, particularly if the worst happens.
Made me think of Feruchemy… storing peace and hope for future hard times. Shared this is a friend who has read the books and he said I should get some metal jewellery whilst on holiday and I think that’s such a good idea!!
Wanted to share as this feels weirdly spiritual but also most understood as a concept from Mistborn readers.
