Offset smoker vs Green egg

I currently cook on a XL green egg that was gifted to me last year. Has been a blast and food taste amazing on it, would like to upgrade to a bigger offset for more cooking space.

Also feel like the green egg gets a build up and drips onto the food sometimes during a long cook.

The green egg isn’t necessarily set and forget but I don’t have to keep adding wood. If I got a nice custom offset with an insulated fire box how often wood I need to feed it?

I also see the luxury people have with the pellet smokers like starting your brisket before bed and not having to stay up all night to control heat. I’ve never had food off of one though.

Any tips or suggestions?
