I’m starting a themed fortress in a frozen biome and I want to fully lean into the prison colony idea instead of eventually turning it into spreadsheet fortress.
The plan:
The 7 starting dwarves are the prison administration/guards
Every migrant wave is basically a new prisoner transport
Prisoners do mining, hauling, dangerous jobs, cavern expeditions, etc
Some prisoners can earn promotion and become guards
Fortress economy is based on mining + metal industry
Gladiator arena/execution pit definitely happening

Im looking for:

fun mechanics/rules
prison layouts
arena ideas
funny/disturbing DF stuff
good biome suggestions
anything that would make the fortress more immersive or chaotic
