Had a dream that I was walking along an overgrown highway or wide back road. There were no cars visible, audible, or marks and damage to a road that may suggest use. However, the road did bear some erosion; general, non specific, and normal, just liminal in its lack of people. Hell, even I was less a person walking and more a conscious viewing an environ, such as one might while viewing an area with Google maps.
The appearance of Kudzu, lush and green, flowing in a breeze I couldn't identify, gave enough to sense that it felt as real as truly being there.
Across, perpendicular to the road, half swallowed by the lush overgrowth, were a dark and seemingly burned house, or even painted black from the the trim of the windows down to the worn junk board, the kind that flakes in thin sheets. The windows were empty as no light came from it, or were visible from the outside. The old building would likely be damaged, but the overgrowth must have restricted all light that could enter, clotting its breaches with green. And so, the dark of the windows stood out of the lush green and dark, pale, sun bleached wear of the home, unnaturally, quartered by trim, four holes. Just holes.
