I don’t have many people to celebrate this moment with me. I (32m) finally did it, making $63k/year! Took me 2 years and some change. I started investing seriously when I opened my Roth IRA in December 2023 and enrolled with my 401K and HSA at work in April of 2024. I maxed my IRA in Jan for both ‘23 & ‘24 and have been maxing ever since; lump summing the full amount early January. Maxing out my HSA through payroll and contributing 30% of my paycheck into my 401K (switched to Roth 401K in January ‘26)
When I was 30, I heard Kevin O’Leary say to “Do whatever you can to get to $100K as fast as you can by the age of 33” and I took that as a personal challenge! I achieved it with 1 month to spare before I turn 33! I made so many sacrifices, and tracked every penny spent and saved. I spent a total of $18K for all of 2025 (I live in a LCL area) by lowering my monthly bills as much as possible and saved/invested the rest. I have no debt (school and car loans paid off) and no kids. Growing up in poverty and being in survival mode during my 20’s, this is massive for me emotionally and I’m so motivated to reach the next $100K!
Edit: Thank you everyone!
