my cats were playing with a stinkbug last night and of course, one of them ate the thing (I didn’t actually witness her eat it but she was acting like she ate something nasty, so I’m assuming she ate it). shes a 1.5 yr old lynx point siamese, typically very active/playful and no other health issues up to this point

she is normally a fiend for wet food (her sister doesn’t really care for it), but when I came home this afternoon it was untouched and she hadn’t moved from her morning spot, nor did she come out to greet me like normal. she is grimacing (mouth slightly open, eyes squinted) and refusing treats, and hiding under the bed which is all abnormal behavior for her.

is this a normal/expected reaction to eating a stinkbug or is there cause for concern of something else? I have already scheduled an appointment for later today but just want to know if I am jumping the gun.

(while i was writing this she came out from under the bed but still grimacing/seems lethargic)
