I am looking for some advice - I currently work for a corporate as a Customer Success Manager, previously I worked for a small start up business as a Client Services and Head of Ops (for 5/6 years).
Naïve me left the role thinking Customer Success was where I wanted to be but fast forward to the last couple of months and the stress is piling on, pressure is higher than ever to meet targets and they have doubled our workload and the size of the team has halved. I wake up everyday dreading work and wishing I could quit but the grown up in me knows I have bills to pay and a home to provide for my family of 5.
I have decided to start applying for some jobs and emailing recruiters last week, into this week - however, I am really struggling to find jobs that will take me back to my operations and admin background it seems that maybe I am not looking in the right places or I am not searching for the right titles.
I am also looking to change careers completely and I am back to school (evenings) to study for counselling. I have only just finished level 2 and pending to start level 3 so I need a secure role for the next couple of years whilst I complete this, that supports my household and at a minimum matches my current salary.
I suppose the key part I am looking for advice on is how do I go back to ops and admin and where should I be looking? I have tried Tiger Recruitment, Office Angels, Indeed, Reed, LinkedIn and many more🤦🏻♀️
