Need advice for DIN pin connector

Hello all,
I’m working on a project where I need to solder a power cable and several control wires to a DIN connector. (maybe the name is DIN 41612)
I’m much more comfortable using terminal blocks and plugs, which I’ve found to be very reliable in the past. However, this specific project requires me to use this DIN connector. I’m a bit worried that if the solder joints aren't perfect, the wires might strip off or short out, potentially damaging the board in the future.
Does anyone have any tips or best practices for ensuring a secure, long-term connection with these types of connectors?
