I ended up changing the direction of my experiments a bit.

Right now I’m working on a party/minigame game focused on creating chaotic and fun moments especially for content creators.

So far, I’ve been focusing on the core loop:
players wait in the lobby, vote between 3 random minigames, and the most voted one is selected for everyone to play.

My goal is to make a party game where creators can naturally generate fun content while playing, instead of having to “force” entertaining moments.

And honestly, if you create content, and if you don’t too, feel free to suggest a minigame you’d love to play 👀

Taking the melee system a step further.

Now experimenting with player vs player interactions, attacks are no longer just hitting objects.

Might turn this into a fighting game… let’s see where it goes.

Pushing the melee system a bit further.

Added sound feedback to hits, and now props can be destroyed, respawn, and drop collectible items.

Starting to build a simple gameplay loop: hit → break → collect → repeat.

Making things feel alive.

Added interaction to the melee system: hitting a cube now plays an animation and triggers an impact VFX.

Small detail, but it already makes the combat feel way more responsive.

Started exploring s&box and decided to document my journey.

For this first experiment, I built a simple melee system using the engine’s built-in left and right hand attack animations.
