been seeing people talk about switching banks and now im wondering what actually makes an online checking account the best

we have two offers in front of us and they look similar but not identical. different terms small fee differences slightly different payments. we keep going back and forth because we dont want to pick wrong over something we’re misunderstanding. what’s the one thing people usually overlook when comparing loans?

How are people handling bank reconciliation at higher volume

Transaction volume has been climbing and manual reconciliation is getting harder to keep up with. Trying to understand what setups actually hold up once things scale beyond a few accounts

I’ve been struggling to find the right balance between locking down our Kubernetes clusters and not slowing down developers to the point where they start bypassing controls altogether what strategies, tools, or cultural practices have actually worked for you in maintaining strong security without killing productivity, and where have you had to intentionally compromise?

Trying to compare Quickparts vs Fathom Manufacturing for a US based project. The part is a glass filled nylon mounting bracket for a small industrial sensor assembly. It would be used inside an equipment cabinet, so its not cosmetic like a consumer product enclosure, but it does need to be strong, repeatable, and dimensionally stable.

Specs:

1,000 pieces
90 mm x 45 mm x 18 mm
Through-holes for mounting screws x2
Molded standoffs for a small PCB x4
3mm ribs connecting the standoffs
One snap fit retention tab
Flat base surface so it mounts cleanly

I was talking to a predental student who thought they had a decent handle on costs just looking at tuition, but once they started factoring in living expenses, equipment, boards, applications, and even the interest that builds while you’re in school, it started feeling way less straightforward than expected. It made me wonder how people here actually planned for the full financial picture before committing, did you map everything out early or just adjust once you got in and started seeing the real numbers?

So my check engine light popped up last week on my VW and the dealership is quoting me a crazy diagnostic fee just to tell me what’s wrong, not even fix it, which feels like overkill, I’m pretty comfortable doing basic stuff myself but never really got into scanning tools or coding features, are there any apps or plug in tools you guys actually trust for reading codes, clearing lights, maybe even doing small service resets or tweaking hidden settings without needing dealer level equipment?

I have set up a couple businesses over the years, one DIY and two through services.

The actual filing part felt almost identical every time.

The difference showed up later with things like reminders and support.

Curious what others noticed.

I’m coming from more of a DevOps/sysadmin background and want to get comfortable with JavaScript. Mainly interested in understanding it well enough for scripting, tooling, APIs, Node.js, automation, and reading/debugging JS-heavy projects. What’s the best learning path for someone who isn’t trying to become a frontend dev first? Considering freecodecamp, odin project, and boot dev... is there one you'd pick over another?
