Hi - I took 1cr policy in xxx insurance. I declared that having Gr. 1 fatty liver. Later they asked me about the last 5 years of medical records. I submitted their review and they arranged a medical test. During the medical test, my bp was a little high. But i am not a BP patient and I haven't taken any medication for any disease till date. After reviewing medical reports, their underwriting team provided a counter offer with 50% loading. It's not suitable for me, hence i cancelled my proposal/policy. I didn't accept the policy. Now I am planning to go with another insurer. Should i declare the existing case like fatty liver, counter offer, proposal cancel? If i declare what will happen and if not. what will happen? Do all insurance companies provide counter offers for fatty liver? Please advise to handle the insurance company, what to say and not to say. My friends are saying that why should we declare that fatty liver, if they find it during a medical test then we will see. Until we don't Need to declare. My understanding of a fatty liver is common in current lifestyle. So it's really required for a counter offer?
