My package was delivered there a week ago , but I have not received any receipt update yet, so I wanted to check other people’s recent timelines.
For EB I-485 cases where the interview is waived, can the case be approved directly by NBC itself, or does every case still need to be transferred to a Field Office for final review/approval?
I have seen some people say their case was approved from NBC. But I am wondering if those cases were actually approved by a Field Office, and the applicant simply did not know because the transfer was not visible to them.
To be clear, I am not talking about marriage-based I-485 cases, since those usually involve interviews and are commonly transferred to a Field Office.
I am only asking about employment-based I-485 cases with interview waived.
Does anyone know from experience or from attorney/USCIS guidance whether NBC can approve EB I-485 cases directly, or whether final approval always happens at a Field Office?
