Hi guys, been lurking for a few weeks and thought it was time to post and get some of your guys input on my form.

Context: I (35M) have no track and field background and haven’t played sports that involve running since I was 18. I set myself a challenge to try to do a sub 60s 400. I’ve been training alone for about 12 weeks following a programme written by chatgpt. watched a few technique videos and lurking on here trying to get some tips. I don’t have access to blocks.

My recent short distances

40m in around 6.5

60m in around 8.7

60m fly in around 7.9

Mostly hand timed but have tried videoing at high frame rate and using photo finish app and getting around those times

Longer distances I did my recent 300 sessions at around 48-52 seconds.

Any tips on form in accel and in top speed would be great as I feel like this is the area I am struggling with the most. Particularly the first few steps of the start I feel like I get good power from the start but then lose power on the second step.
