Can anyone id this frame and tell me if its worth building?

Ive been out of the bike game for decades and i see a lot has changed. Im looking for a cheaper used mtb to ride with my son.

I see this has a tapered headtube but it looks long, crank is 1x, which i want, dont care about the wheels or fork at this point. Its cheap, and i think a build would be a great way for me to familiarize myself with new parts and models, and put together a good bike. My firat guess is that this wont be worth building on. But i guess im hoping to find a gem. What other clues can you point out to me that determine whether this is a decent frame or not?
