Our area has one main street and 6 side streets, totalling 314 houses.
Over the past 3 years there has been an explosion in the number of HMOs opening up, and we're now up to 29 HMOs. (That's almost 1 in 10 houses.)
Two more HMOs have been applied for and we're objecting to them.
Is there a percentage limit in law that dictates how many houses in a particular area can be HMOs?
We wouldn't be objecting if these new HMOs weren't coming with bucketloads of antisocial behiaviour. There's needles being discarded on teh streets, fighting, shouting and screaming. Rubbish being discarded everywhere.
It just isn't on. The whole area is becoming a dumping ground for maladjusted people and we really can't take anymore of this.
